The Urban Peony Pavilion is not just another club. Its main functions are banquet, meeting, and reception. The design team has carefully considered the relationship between audience and actors, space scenes, and actors in the dynamic scene performance, which is often involved in the case as a gathering place. This thoughtful design approach makes the Pavilion different from others.
The Pavilion covers a total of 980 square meters. The material constructs the contemporary nature of space, while the design endows the space with a spiritual feeling. The whole space can be constructed as a large stage, or it can close relatively hidden doors to reorganize performance scenes and use scenes. This flexibility in design is a unique property of the Pavilion.
The design team has also considered the interaction of people within the space. People in the space seem to walk in the mountains, stones, bamboo forests, seashore, showing the gathering scene more than a thousand years ago with abstract concepts. The different size of the block settings is also for the airflow and lighting in the space can be more flexible and mobile, giving people a better sense of space use.
The project started in December 2018 in Taizhou and finished in April 2019 in Taizhou. The rapid development of China's economy and the rapid integration of world economy and culture have brought about tremendous changes in urban life. Space design is not a simple decoration and construction, but also to a great extent to meet the user's functional demands and emotional support. The person in the scene naturally becomes a dynamic scene in the space.
The Urban Peony Pavilion was awarded Golden in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. They are venerated products and bright ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
